By uploading an image or images to this page, you give Hounds4Homes and its licensees the perpetual, royalty-free right to use the image or images in all languages and media, whether now known or hereafter developed. This right is granted on a non-exclusive, worldwide basis. Certain images that you upload to the website may be chosen by Hounds4Homes for use in advertising campaigns for the company, including but not limited to publication in printed or online promotional materials.

Your Use of The Site

You acknowledge that if you are using the platform to advertise pets, your local council’s animal licensing staff has been consulted about your licensing needs, and you have the required animal activities license. You have uploaded a copy of your current license and have put this information in your account details..

General Ad Posting Rules

  • When placing an advertisement on Hounds4Homes, you represent and promise that you will abide by the following requirements: Any pet(s) advertised must be owned by you unless they are being sold in support of a charitable organization. If you advertise a litter of puppies or s, they must be your own or the product of your own breeding.
  •  We implement age restrictions on when pets can be rehomed/collected in accordance with animal welfare recommendations.
  •  We reserve the right to deny any advertisement(s) that may jeopardize PAAG’s minimal standards. Before the age of eight weeks for dogs, s, rabbits, and ferrets, and at the age of twelve weeks for chinchillas, they cannot be separated from their mothers. Before leaving their mother, foals must be at least 6 months old.
  • • If you’re promoting a litter, you must provide a photo of the litter and their mother. This includes chinchillas, s, rabbits, ferrets, dogs, and more.
  • • For the sake of openness with the buyer, you must upload your advertisement in the appropriate category and include the whole breed information for the animal. You must specifically state in your description and in the advertisement for the pet that it is a mixed breed.
  • • All pet images uploaded must be of the specific animal you are looking to rehome; images of other animals taken from the internet or copied from them are not permitted.
  • • At Hounds4Homes, we don’t allow advertisements that suggest or advertise that pets are presents or gifts, such as for special occasions like Christmas, Easter, or Valentine’s Day.
  • • Pets that are advertised must be in the UK, and the address listed on your listing must be the one where the pet is actually, permanently housed.
  • • Pets that have been brought into the UK with the intention of being sold are not permitted to be marketed. Additionally, we forbid the advertising of any pets for sale that have been brought into the UK and are younger than six months old. You may, however, place ads for older animals that you once legally brought into the country as a pet and are now in need of a new home. The country of the animal’s birth or origin must be mentioned in the advertisement description.
  • You may not advertise a pet that you believe to be pregnant or that is pregnant. Horses are included here.
  • • No adverts that propose to swap or exchange any pets may be uploaded.
  • • We forbid selective breeding or advertising that highlights extreme pet characteristics or conformations.
  • • For each animal you seek to rehome, you have precisely identified all related health and welfare concerns.
  • • Pet advertisements that provide delivery or courier services are not allowed. A pet with a litter must be picked up at the residence of the litter’s mother.
  • • All animals up for adoption must be visible at your residence or place of business.
  • We do not permit anybody under the age of 18 to offer a pet for sale, adoption, or stud on the website; and
  •  We do not permit big commercial breeding of pets, regardless of licensing status. Additionally, we prohibit anyone under the age of 18 from contacting an advertiser through the website.
  •  We reserve the right to decline any ads, ban, close, or suspend a user’s account if we suspect inappropriate behavior or unethical breeding, including but not limited to the rules above. If you are advertising a pet via the Hounds4Homes website, you must ensure that anyone adopting or purchasing your pet is at least 18 years of age.

If you violate any of the aforementioned guidelines, we reserve the right to cancel all or specific Ads you have placed with us and close your Account.

 

Dogs/Puppies Specific Ad Posting Rules

  • When posting any puppy or dog advertisement on Hounds4Homes, you represent and agree that you will adhere to the following requirements in addition to the general ad posting rules:
  • All pets advertised must be in the UK, and dogs must be microchipped starting at 8 weeks of age or older.
  • We permit the sale of rescue animals as long as they are presently present in the UK, possess all necessary papers and immunizations, and are microchipped in accordance with UK regulations and law.
  •  You must be able to display all pups and kittens to a potential buyer along with their mother and, if possible, their father if you are selling a litter.
  •  We don’t accept ads for bred-in aesthetic pets, and we’ll take down any ad that uses terms like “Micro,” “Big-Rope,” “Teacup” (or any variation of that), “Miniature” (unless it’s referring to a miniature pedigree breed), “Designer,” or other terms of a similar nature.
  •  You won’t promote the adoption of any breeds that are prohibited. Ads for dogs of the following breeds or crossbreeds will not be accepted: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, or Fila Brasileiro.
  • •Dogs that belong to a family may only be advertised on Hounds4Homes. You are not permitted to promote any kind of working dog on the Site, including dogs that have been security or protection trained or whose main function is hunting, working, or guarding.
  •  We do not approve advertisements for the sale of dogs with cropped ears or docked tails.
  • You won’t advertise any pets for sale that are kept for breeding purposes, such as stud dogs or dogs that are in season.
  • Regardless of gender, a dog cannot be advertised for stud/mating if it is less than 12 months. Advertisements are not allowed to feature dogs that are double dapple or double merle.
  •  If the animal you want to rehome is registered with a regulatory authority, such as the Kennel Club for dogs or the GCCF for cats, you must mention this in your advertisement and be prepared to supply any documentation needed to prove the registration.
  • According to Scottish government regulations, every user who currently resides in Scotland and breeds three or more litters of s in any 12-month period must possess a current breeder’s license.

Breeding and Licenses

• You must register on the website as a licensed breeder and provide us a copy of your license if you are a breeder who is selling dogs and needs a dog breeding license from your local council. Additionally, you’ll need to add the name of the local authority to your account with us along with your license number. We reserve the right to reject your ads and may inform your local government if we believe you need a license but have not provided data about it. A breeding license must be uploaded to your account if two distinct litters are posted or delivered within a 30-day window.

Accounts

  • If we ask you to do so in order for you to fully utilize the Site, you must first register an Account, which will include certain personal information. You affirm when you register for an account that:
  • • You will maintain this information correct and up-to-date; • All information you provide is true, accurate, and full.
  • • You must specify whether you are a private individual, frequent advertiser/breeder, rescue center, or business using our services.
  • • Before posting an advertisement, you must include your house number, street address, and postcode in the correct full address. If we determine it is necessary, we might ask you to confirm your home address. Your complete address won’t be displayed on the website, though.
  • • You will only promote any pets you own or breed using one account. For instance, you won’t attempt to conceal the actual number of pets you breed or promote by setting up and using many accounts with different names and addresses.
  • • If we receive complaints about your account, you must address them in a way that satisfies us as well as the complainants.
  • • You won’t lend out your account to anyone else or use it to promote other people’s pets.
  • You will only promote any pets you own or breed using one account. For instance, you won’t attempt to conceal the actual number of pets you breed or promote by setting up and using many accounts with different names and addresses.
  • • If we receive complaints about your account, you must address them in a way that satisfies us as well as the complainants.
  • • You won’t lend out your account to anyone else or use it to promote other people’s pets.

If you violate these T&Cs, your Account will be canceled by us.

We reserve the right to close your account at any time by sending you a notification through email to the last email address you used to access your account or to last contact us.

Even if you have paid for certain products on our website, if your Account is canceled for any reason, you will not be eligible for any type of compensation for any loss you might experience as a result.

In the case that you have not authorized your current email address with us, it cannot receive emails from us, you designate our emails as spam, abusive, or garbage, or in any other circumstance, we may terminate your Account without providing you with prior notice.

We reserve the right to keep any commission and/or interest we earn on any transactions in which we are engaged. This also applies to any interest we earn on funds put in your Account.

Contacting An Advertiser

You understand and accept that we are unable to verify the veracity or accuracy of any claims made by anybody posting an ad on Hounds4Homes.

You acknowledge that it is your duty to independently check all claims made and all supporting material provided by any advertiser.

You attest that you have read the “Buying Check List” that we display on the website and on each pet advertisement, especially the warning that says “Never send money or a deposit online to an advertiser for a pet unless using a secure payment method.”

It’s important to make sure the advertising is a real person. If the advertisement tries to deliver the pet to you or meet you somewhere other than their house, or if they try to get money or a deposit from you without letting you view the pet, do not consent to this. You can accomplish this by visiting the pet at the advertiser’s home.

Always use our safe in-platform messaging system instead of accepting any invitations to use other messaging services like email. You can share photographs on our system, which is secure. Additionally, you guarantee that you won’t spam users, use offensive language, or use our messenger system in an automated or profit-oriented manner. Prior to reaching the counter-party, we reserve the right to filter or block messages that we believe to be suspicious. Additionally, if a user abuses our messenger system, we reserve the right to block them.

Cancellation By Us

If we know or suspect that you have violated any of these terms and conditions, we have the sole discretion to immediately terminate any Ad you place on the Site and/or cancel your Account. We also have the sole discretion to terminate your Account for any other reason we, in our sole discretion, deem appropriate.

You acknowledge that, should we decide to terminate your account or ad for any reason, you are not entitled to any kind of payment from us.

Cancellation By You

If we know or suspect that you have violated any of these terms and conditions, we have the sole discretion to immediately terminate any Ad you place on the Site and/or cancel your Account. We also have the sole discretion to terminate your Account for any other reason we, in our sole discretion, deem appropriate.

You acknowledge that, should we decide to terminate your account or ad for any reason, you are not entitled to any kind of payment from us.

If such a situation arises, we will inform you as soon as we are able and start providing the service again.

We reserve the right to cancel the service if we are unable to complete it within a reasonable amount of time, and in the event that we do, we will repay you for the service in question in an amount that is fair and reasonable under the circumstances.
